We’ve been busy. Like “ignore daylight” busy. The result is Bite-Finder 4.0, our biggest release yet and a serious upgrade over V3 in every way that actually matters.

This isn’t a facelift with a version bump. Bite-Finder 4.0 is a fully integrated, end-to-end platform that’s more robust, more flexible, and noticeably faster. Web, Desktop, Batch, and API now work together as one coherent system, instead of polite acquaintances.

The new Control Panel gives you centralized visibility and management of licenses, sub-accounts, and API keys. No more guessing who used what, where, or why your quota disappeared overnight. You’re in control, finally.

The redesigned interface is cleaner, more intuitive, and actually pleasant to use. It stays out of your way when you’re moving fast, and gives you depth when you need precision.

Our Beta users said, damn this looks like serious software now. While we appreciated the compliment, we want hold tight to our culture and fight against that with some fun. Bite-Finder 4.0 brings you joy even when looking at the most horrifying bites. The new Meme-mode shows you a hand-picked collection that makes using Bite-Finder even more fun. Although beeing significantly faster than v3 we wanted to spice up our swiss-german efficiency mindset with some casual laugh. For all serious users we offer to switch to serious mode in the settings and show some education or whatever we can come up with. Maybe a little game? Let us know if you have ideas. 

Case Management Without Penalties

The new Case Log lets you review and re-process any case at any time, with no additional charge. Revisit old work, apply new settings, or validate outcomes without worrying about hidden costs.

Settings That Mean What They Say

We completely reworked settings in our 4.0 API. You now have full control of all job parameters, instead of hoping the defaults guessed your intent correctly.

This includes:

• Output occlusion quality limits for quadrants and full arches

• Automatic flagging for additional review when thresholds aren’t met

• Minimum input and output scan quality enforcement via Batch or API, so good scans are never charged unnecessarily

You decide how strict the system should be. Bite-Finder just follows orders.

Smarter Occlusion, Less Guesswork

Occlusion handling in 4.0 is significantly more advanced.

• Auto Occlusion Mode intelligently suggests the best static occlusion strategy, alongside Global and Local options

• Improved before/after comparison tools make changes obvious instead of theoretical

• Output orientation is more flexible, including support for 4×4 transformation matrices for static workflows

• Dynamic bite opening can be defined by anterior distance or minimum splint thickness

• Expanded dynamic occlusion vectors, including chewing motions, with compatibility for Zebris, Modjaw, and exocad

In short, it’s smarter, clearer, and easier to validate.
